I started this painting ages ago, then went on a bit of painting hiatus, leaving it unfinished:
The probable reason for the painting hiatus was the fact that I started hating the painting. Apart from the wolf. The wolf’s all right. In a more well-appointed setting he could stay; unfortunately, it wasn’t to be. He has now vanished under a layer of black acrylic.
I decided I wanted to do something else with the canvas, and that something else will be this:
It’s a very rough sketch that I did at work the other day (standard “during my dinner break” disclaimer applies). The end result will be moody and glamorous with a hint of melancholy. Or a huge bag of shit that I will end up painting over again.
Since I’m trying to pull this blog out of the doldrums, I’ll try and post regular WIP updates. Do pop back when you’ve a mo.

Anonymous: Thanks for liking the wolf. Unfortunately, I felt the rest of the painting didn’t do it justice, and I couldn’t summon the enthusiasm to finish it.

I have a classy ’3 Dolphin Sun’ T-Shirt, bought by a departed in-law, I know speaking ill of the dead and all but I’m so happy I don’t have to wear it anymore.
